The Underwater experience

It is rare that I photograph professional models. My passion is to photograph people who perhaps want to try something new, who want to float, who want to make art, who want to dress up, or who want to feel sexy.


Underwater Photography lends itself well to Creative Portraiture, Boudoir, Maternity, and Fantasy Photoshoots, but in no ways is it limited to that.


I have photographed, dancers, tech workers, mermaids, teachers, fellow photographers, creatives, and more.

I'VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS, CAN I DO IT?

Heck yes you can!  I will coach you through it.  I will be here to give you tips on breath hold, buoyancy and help work through anything you may be struggling with.  We can always work together in the shallow end if that's where you are most comfortable.  You honestly don't even need to know how to swim, you just need to be able to put your head underwater.  If you are nervous about opening your eyes underwater, photos with your eyes closed can be beautiful too!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR AN UNDERWATER PHOTOSHOOT?

Personal fabric favorites are chiffon, organza or silk garments.  Costumes or Mermaid tails and accessories are great, and if you want a more sleek look, tight fitting swimsuits, clothing or nudes are also nice and can be paired with flowing fabrics (I have different colored silks that you are welcome to use.)


If you want to add some drama synthetic wigs are nice and can hold their curl underwater unlike human hair.


Accessories, jewelry, even shoes can be fun options to include as well.

CAN I WEAR MAKEUP TO MY UNDERWATER PHOTOSHOOT?

Yes, absolutely! Your eyeliner and mascara needs be waterproof, and if using lip color, please use a lip stain instead of a lipstick or lipgloss.  I have a really nice makeup sealer that we can use for whatever other makeup you have on that seems to do a really good job, and you are welcome to use it!  You can do it yourself or get it professionally done before the shoot. For an additional fee, I  am also happy to help find a makeup artist and bring them onsite if you would prefer that.

HOW MUCH IS A PHOTOSHOOT?

You can find more detailed info under the service tab, but basic photoshoot packages start at $800 with 5 edited photos.  You can add additional images for $75 each, or additional image packages of 5 for $300


Custom packages and services can include set design, costuming, travel etc.  So feel free to contact me for custom quotes.
